How to sleep

Wondering how to sleep at night without taking all night long? By far the most underrated sleep advice you can get is ‘relax before you go to sleep’. You’ve probably heard it a million times before from your colleagues, your family and friends and even your doctor. You’ve probably even tried to ‘relax’ and it’s not helped one single bit. However, relaxation is important in how to sleep well.

When your mind and body are deeply relaxed you will find yourself closer to sleep than when you are feeling tense and irritable. Sounds simple enough doesn’t it? So why does it fail to work every time it’s suggested. You’re probably tired of hearing it from your doctor and I’m not surprised.

Of course there’s more to how to sleep than just getting yourself relaxed as possible. For one, you need a routine in your daily life; sleep and wake at the same time everyday, eat at the same time everyday, exercise regularly and engage in physically and mentally stimulating activities. This is by no means and extensive list, but the keyword is ‘routine’.

Your body and mind believe it or not, like routine. Without it your natural circadian rhythm will fall out of sync. Your sleep and wake cycle are interrelated. We humans need to sleep, our health and well-being depends on good sleep to function properly.

We humans know how to sleep, but it’s not the conscious part of the mind that knows how. If it were, you’d click your fingers and say the magic words ‘sleep’ and be out like a light. It’s the unconscious mind that knows how to sleep. It’s in the instinctive unconscious mind that we are able to do all the things that come natural to us.

Some people have very strong sleep mechanisms programmed into their minds. These people often enjoy deep long and uninterrupted sleep and fall asleep as soon as they close their eyes. Others may struggle to sleep after a few hours of tossing and turning. Truth is, it’s possible to strengthen your sleep mechanism. Just like you can improve your game of tennis or golf through practice. It’s possible to train the mind to drift into sleep.

Your unconscious already knows how to sleep, but often your conscious mind takes control at night. Worry, fear, anxiety and racing thoughts prevent you from drifting to sleep. Using powerful and natural mind altering techniques you can learn how to sleep easily.
